Just the other day I was on a walk with my mother in law, strolling my baby down the road towards town, when we decided to pop into a metaphysical book store and relax for a bit, smell the incense, and say hello to the Buddha statues. As I was leaving the store I noticed on the counter a big colorful image on the cover of a large hardbound book. The image seemed to be of a magical place from my own imagination – a pristine, mysterious spot that seemed so familiar that I could have created it in my own dreams. The book was about a place I’d never heard of before, a place in Italy called the Temples of Damanhur (constructed like a three-dimensional book, narrating the history of humanity, the underground rooms are linked by hundreds of metres of richly decorated tunnels and occupy almost 300,000 cubic feet. ) The article previewed below discusses it a bit, but it’s certianly worth investigating on your own down the rabbit hole of the internet where there is plenty to discover about it. Oddly, when I returned home that day from our walk, in my email inbox was a message from a friend with a link to the Temples. Syncronicity!
