“Inside a tomb dating back to the age of the Pyramids in Egypt was this image, an embrace between a priestess and her husband, a singer in the pharaoh’s palace. The image has been recorded by researchers in full color.

She was a priestess named Meretites, and he was a singer named Kahai, who performed at the pharaoh’s palace. They lived about 4,400 years ago in an age when pyramids were being built in Egypt, and their love is reflected in a highly unusual scene in their tomb — an image that has now been published in all its surviving color.

The tomb at Saqqara — which held this couple, their children and possibly their grandchildren — has now been studied and described by researchers at Macquarie University’s Australian Center for Egyptology. Among the scenes depicted is a relief painting showing the couple gazing into each other’s eyes, with Meretites placing her right hand over Kahai’s right shoulder…”

For Halloween Week: Enter, The Necropants Of Iceland

Old Icelandic sorcery & witchcraft appears to have some very interesting magical customs. In particular, the concept of Necropants…

Nabrokarstafur

The Horrifying Necropants Of Iceland

By JacobSloan

“The Museum of Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft houses the only known intact pair of necropants, a beyond-disturbing item popularly used for purposes of traditional magic in seventeenth century Iceland. To make your own (and thus reap good fortune), strike a deal with a friend than whoever dies first will allow the other wear the lower half of their corpse as a pair of pants, day and night:

If you want to make your own necropants (literally; nábrók) you have to get permission from a living man to use his skin after his death.

After he has been buried you must dig up his body and flay the skin of the corpse in one piece from the waist down. As soon as you step into the pants they will stick to your own skin.

A coin must be stolen from a poor widow and placed in the scrotum along with the magical sign, nábrókarstafur, written on a piece of paper. Consequently the coin will draw money into the scrotum so it will never be empty, as long as the original coin is not removed…”

The Mysterious Energy of Chi

“Chi” is something I first heard about during my acupuncture treatments. When the needle goes in, sometimes a little zap occurs – like electricity shooting up the nerve. My skeptical mind thought, well, that’s obviously just the needle hitting a nerve! My practitioner promised, no, that is the needle moving the life force, or chi, in your body, and that movement of the chi is how the healing happens. Still, I remain skeptical sometimes, and that is why when I saw this video about an amazing man called Dynamo Jack who seems to have cultivated an ancient wisdom to harness the power of chi, I was very, very intrigued…

Enjoy!

Healer Demonstrates Extraordinary Powers of Chi, Baffles Scientists

by Eliot Estep

“Life force energy, also known as chi or prana, is found in everything. This subtle and pervasive energy is said to be the vital building block of all matter and creation, both physical and non-physical. This energy flows in, through, and around the body, forming vibrant and cohesive living systems in endless forms. Many traditions believe that a steady supply of chi is necessary to sustain all living beings. By understanding the rhythm, flow, and the qualities of life force energy, a wide variety of exercises and healing practices have been developed over time to improve health, vitality, and longevity. These practices are worldwide and span across all cultures including Reiki, Qi Gong, Pranic Healing, and many more.

In rare cases, chi has been shown to produce some truly astounding effects. In the following video, a Chinese healer demonstrates some of the powerful applications of chi when harnessed and directed with mastery. These feats are clearly visible and are shocking to witness at first. This type of ability came from much training and diligent meditation, including his membership in a secret order of healers…”
